Spirits cruising over the waters on the second day of the Genesis creation story. See Genesis 1, 1-8. Also see John 1, 1-5. The background for this painting turned up in in January on my storage shelf. I realized what to d with it. The birds are painted with white acrylic paint. The gold is watercolour over acrylic, surprisingly successful.
