VISIBILITY FAIR TO POOR
Watercolour and Nautical Chart
51 x 71 cm      20 x 28 inches

The phrase "visibility  fair to poor" is used in the marine weather forecast when fog and rain are expected. This is one of the first paintings in which I used a section of chart. It shows part of Halifax Harbour. The tape lines express how the navigator on a boat at sea will identify land masses by comparing them to what is shown on the chart.
